The Mages Guild's gameplay centers around finding ancient texts and bits of necromantic lore and a hunt for lost artifacts which runs throughout the entire game. It is one of the three guilds available at the game's launch.

Mages Guild Quests[]

Players can finde these invitations as posters on the walls of the first larger settlement, like Davon's Watch. Joining the guild opens a new skill line and will lead to the Mages guild quest series.


ARCH MAGE (Quest Achievement):

Solving this whole Mages Guild quest series results in 50 achievement points and the title: Master Wizard


It's only followed so far by the quest: The Arch-Mage's Boon.

Active 4 Deals 12 Magic Damage over 12 seconds and restores 0 – 3 Health to player every 6 seconds. 35 Stamina
Your weapon attacks against target restore health. Additional 15% chance on hit with weapon attack to heal player for 100 – 115% of damage caused.
Increases Max Health while ability is slotted. Passively increases Max Health by 5 – 8%.
Fire Rune
Active 6 Create a Fire Rune at target location for 30 seconds, dealing 15 – 18 Fire Damage when an enemy enters area of effect. 53 Stamina
Enemy is knocked in the air. Affected enemy is knocked into the air and stunned for 3 – 4 seconds.
Enemies also take Fire Damage over time. Affected enemy takes 8 – 24 Fire Damage over 10 seconds.
Equilibrium
Active 8 Trades 0 – 6 Health for 6 Magicka. 0 – 6 Health
Trades 45 – 0 Health for 6 Magicka, and increases Health regeneration by 37 – 40% for 20 seconds. Adds Health Recovery.
Trades 0 Health for 6 Magicka, and reduces the Magicka cost of next ability activated by 25 – 28% if cast within 5 seconds. Reduces the cost of your next spell.
Meteor
Ultimate 10 Deals 44 – 49 Fire Damage to target and 22 – 25 Fire Damage to nearby enemies. All affected enemies are knocked back. 200 Ultimate
Deals cold damage and snares enemies. Deals 49 Cold Damage to target and 22 Cold Damage to nearby enemies. All affected enemies are knocked back and snared 70% for 5 – 8 seconds.
Gain ultimate for each enemy hit. Restore 9 – 12 Ultimate for each enemy hit.
